PROBATE, WILLS AND TRUSTS LITIGATION
Protecting assets that have taken a lifetime to accumulate, managing property that has been in the family for generations, and making long-range provisions for beneficiaries affect people personally as well as financially.

Robert B. Stanfield advises individuals on management and conservation of assets, estate planning for the orderly transfer of property during life or at death, tax aspects of such planning, and probate and estate administrative procedures. Services include preparation of wills, trust agreements, powers of attorney, and other necessary documents; preparation of income, gift, and estate tax returns; and assistance in both the dependent and independent administration of estates and guardianships.
GUARDIANSHIP LITIGATION
Situations arise, due to age, illness or injury where a person is no longer capable of making important decisions on their own. In such circumstances, the best solution may be the appointment of a guardian to assist in managing his or her affairs. If it is necessary to have a guardian appointed, an individual or entity is named by court order to exercise those powers and rights necessary to assist the afflicted person. A full or limited guardianship may be the appropriate protection for minors, persons with mental illness, developmentally challenged persons, or others the court determines, after a hearing, are incapable of making important decisions for themselves.
Robert B. Stanfield has extensive experience in dealing with Guardianships. He has represented both guardians and wards, as well as interested family members and friends.
